Dear Hollywood Chamber Members and Community Leaders, 

It is with a heavy heart that I write this message as we are all facing health and safety concerns as well as economic uncertainty. First and foremost, I hope that you and your family stay safe and well during this unprecedented time.

With the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have quickly worked to move our operations online for the safety of our employees, members and the Hollywood community at large. We have made this decision so that our team members can continue supporting you and your business as best as possible. 

At the Hollywood Chamber, we strive to be a leader for the Hollywood Business Community and will continue to fight for your business interests. We have quickly shifted our legislative priorities to allow us to influence COVID-19 legislation as this health and economic crisis evolves. Our primary goal will be to seek relief and recovery measures for the Hollywood Business Community, including:

• • Immediate cash assistance from all levels of government to businesses impacted and/or interrupted by the residual effects of the COVID-19 pandemic,
  • No additional financial obligations on our impacted businesses, and
  • An adequate level of funding for public health, healthcare officials, and first responders to contain the COVID-19 pandemic and ensure appropriate treatment and testing.

In addition to advocating for you at all levels of governments, we are working hard to provide you with a daily updated COVID-19 Resource Guide on our website. As a worldwide tourist destination, we know that many of you have been hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. To that end, we have increased our membership outreach efforts to listen to your concerns and identify ways to best support you. I would like to ask you to please take a few minutes of your time to complete the following survey for us to learn how to best assist you in these difficult times.

To help you address some of these common business concerns, we requested that our Chamber’s legal counsel, The Law Offices of Derek S. Yee, draft a memo. This memo, “Recommended Strategies For Employers”, is only intended to provide you with accurate, general information regarding legal rights relating to employment in California and with answers to frequently asked questions.
