ABOUT: UNITE-LA, a trusted business intermediary, supports the development of an effective local public education system, so all children and youth succeed in college, career, and beyond. Through the intersection of programming, policy, and systems change efforts, UNITE-LA works to increase access to high-quality early childhood education, develop career pathways in high-growth industries, improve college access and success, and ensure workforce readiness, especially for unserved and underserved individuals.

David Rattray, UNITE-LA’s CEO, has announced his retirement plans for this September. With Rattray’s retirement announcement, Alysia Bell has been promoted to serve as President of the organization. Bell, in her eleventh year with the organization, has led its national work in partnership with the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE), helped to launch UNITE-LA’s Technology Pathways programming, serves on the organization’s Anti-Racism Work Group to advance its race equity journey, and is leading the process for UNITE-LA’s next strategic plan.
As the organization looks to celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2023, Bell and the UNITE-LA team look forward to working with additional partners and amplifying the impact for those they serve.
