ON HIS HOLLYWOOD WALK OF FAME STAR
Flowers were placed on the Walk of Fame star of
entertainer Michael Jackson on Friday, June 26 at 9
a.m. at 6927 Hollywood Boulevard.
Michael Jackson’s star # 1,793 was dedicated on
November 20, 1984 for his work in the field of
recording. The flowers are placed on the
stars on behalf of the Hollywood community by the
Hollywood Historic Trust, a non-profit organization.

NEW WALK OF FAME
RECIPIENTS FOR 2010
HOLLYWOOD, CA.—A
new group of entertainers in motion pictures,
television, live theater, and recording have been
selected to receive stars on the Hollywood Walk of
Fame, it was announced today by the Walk of Fame
Committee of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.
These individuals were chosen from among hundreds of
nominations to the committee at a meeting held June
15, and ratified by the Chamber's Board of
Directors.
The Walk of Fame

for the year 2010 are:
MOTION PICTURES:
James Cameron, Russell Crowe, John Cusack, Colin
Firth, Gale Anne Hurd, Alan Menken, Randy Newman,
Adam Sandler,
Emma Thompson and Mark Wahlberg
TELEVISION:
Chris Berman, Jon Cryer, Peter Graves, Jimmy Kimmel,
Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Bill Maher, and Sam Waterston
RECORDING:
Bryan Adams, The Funk Brothers, Alan Jackson, Chaka
Khan, Van Morrison,
Marco Antonio Solis, Ringo Starr, ZZ Top and
posthumously Roy Orbison

“Hollywood’s class
of 2010 has been selected! After much consideration,
the Walk of Fame committee has selected 28 of our
'most talented' from more than 200 nominations!
Fans and tourists worldwide will enjoy seeing their
favorite celebrities receive this rare accolade.
What is even more exciting is that these particular
recipients will have the distinctive honor of
being selected during the year that celebrates the
Walk of Fame’s 50th Anniversary,” stated
Earl Lestz, Chairman of the Hollywood Walk of Fame
Committee.

chairman of the Walk of Fame Committee of the
Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. These individuals
were chosen from among hundreds of nominations to
the committee at a meeting held June 8, and ratified
by the Chamber's Board of Directors.

Chairman Johnny Grant commented, “Today I am happy
to announce an array of celebrities who have earned
this recognition for a combination of professional
achievement and community involvement.”

Announces New Walk Of Fame
Recipients for 2007
A new group of entertainers in motion pictures,
television, radio, live theater, and recording have
been selected to receive stars on the Hollywood Walk
of Fame, it was announced June 23, 2006 by Johnny
Grant, chairman of the Walk of Fame Committee of the
Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.
These individuals were chosen from among hundreds
of nominations to the committee at a meeting held
June 16, and ratified by the Chamber's Board of
Directors.
Walk of Fame Chairman Johnny Grant commented,
“It’s a privilege to honor these performers, and I’m
sure their fans and supporters will enjoy attending
the induction ceremonies on Hollywood Boulevard.”
The Walk of Fame recipients for the year 2007
are:

Michael Caine, Matt Damon, Lauren Shuler Donner,
